2. How did you get started here?
A cashier for the first Nonna Vincenza pastry shop in Rome…. I opened this shop and today I run it. (As we were together she takes a call about catering her desserts to a restaurant at Eataly which she tells me these new experiences constantly keep her on her feet).
3. What do you love about your job?
The clients first and foremost, without them I wouldnt be able to do this job. The contact with them and the products that we sell. I’m passionate about pastries, sometimes (I am not a pastry chef but have taken two intensive pastry making courses), I loved it, something I was passionate about, cooking in general but specifically pastries so sometimes I work on the dough.

Classic cannolo siciliano with ricotta in assoluto
5. Funniest moment?
A wedding cake fell apart just as we were taking it out of the shop!! But we were able to save it in time for the wedding. So much stress!!
6. What was your favorite food as a child?
Pasties and desserts. Always! In particular Pastarella con la panna
